Our studio provides so much more beyond class itself!

We offer multiple opportunities for all students to perform outside of our yearly recital!

Bi-Yearly Studio Trip

Every two years, Dance Academy XIV offers dancers the chance to participate in an unforgettable, large-scale performance experience!

Past adventures have included:

  • Performing at halftime of the Orange Bowl in Florida with choreography by Mandy Moore

  • Dancing at Disney World in a special parade down Main Street USA, stage performance at Epcot, and Master Classes taught by Brandon Armstrong (Dancing with the Stars)

  • Taking the stage in Times Square, NYC in the summer of 2018

Each trip is tailored to a specific age group depending on the event, and every opportunity is carefully chosen to be inspiring, educational, and unforgettable. Future experiences may include:

  • Dancing aboard cruise ships

  • Returning to Disney and/or NYC

  • And other exciting destinations — because at DAXIV, the sky is the limit!

Don’t miss out on the next adventure — these experiences create lifelong memories, friendships, and confidence both on and off the stage!

Performance Team

Looking for more chances to shine on stage without the commitment of competition? Our DAXIV Performance Team is perfect for dancers who love to perform and want to be more involved in the community!

Originally launched in 2016, this non-competitive team offers dancers the opportunity to participate in:

  • Local parades

  • Community festivals, fundraisers, and pop-up performances

  • Shippensburg University & Wilson College halftimes

In the past, DAXIV dancers have performed at 76ers games, the Cumberland Valley Sampler, and other special events— and we’re always looking for new ways to get our dancers out in the community!

This team is open to dancers who want extra stage time, team spirit, and fun— without the pressure of competition.

Competition Team

Our Competition Team is for dancers who are ready to take their training to the next level. Open to students ages 5 and up, this audition-based team represents the highest level of commitment, discipline, and growth at Dance Academy XIV.

Team members:

  • Train year-round

  • Compete at three regional competitions each spring (March-May)

  • Are invited to attend 1–2 dance conventions annually with top choreographers and instructors from across the country

  • Optional additional opportunities to compete and/or performances

Our competitive dancers are regularly recognized with:

  • Overall placements

  • Judges’ choice awards

  • And even studio-wide honors

This team isn’t just about winning— it’s about growth, passion, and teamwork. Competition students build strong technique, lasting friendships, and an unshakable work ethic both in and out of the studio.

Auditions are held every May for the upcoming season.

Master Classes

We love to inspire our dancers with fresh perspectives and new voices with occasional guest artist experiences throughout the year when opportunities arise.

In the past, our dancers have had the chance to learn from:

  • A former Radio City Rockette

  • A professional musical theatre actress

  • Accomplished teachers from studios across the U.S.

These special classes are open to all students and offer a fun, focused way to grow, explore new styles, and connect with professionals in the industry.

National Honor Society of Dance Arts

Open to any high school junior or senior, we are pleased to be one of 8 studios in PA that can induct students into the NHSDA. Done on a graded rubric scale, the qualifications for NHSDA is based on academic achievement, involvement in the studio, and personal growth as a dancer. The National Honor Society of Dance Arts is a Nationally recognized honor society that can be used on college applications, and has multiple scholarship opportunities even if a student does not major in dance.
